At Preferred Home Care of Florida, we partner with physicians to provide home health services for patients suffering from numerous pulmonary conditions.
In our COPD management program, we provide patients with the tools to enable and empower them to take charge of their own COPD treatment as independently as possible.
How it Works
- Nursing Services, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Social Work
- Education about COPD medication management
- Support to achieve personal goals and follow an individualized plan of care consistent with clinical practice guidelines, developed by the medical team
- Education about breathing exercises for COPD, such as pursed-lip and diaphragmatic breathing
- Eduction about Clearing the airway and conserving energy while building endurance
- Education on how to prevent and reduce COPD exacerbations, as well as ways to slow the progression of the disease
